Chemotherapy Educational sessions

For patients requiring chemotherapy your Dr will arrange a chemotherapy education session. The purpose of the educational session is to ensure you arrive for your first treatment feeling prepared and confident.

A trained Oncology Nurse and pharmacist will discuss what to expect when you arrive for your chemotherapy appointments, possible side effects from your treatment, and how to best manage them. You will also receive a patient diary and have discussion around how to utilise this to record information pertinent to your cancer management.

Both the Drs and the oncology team recognise there is a significant amount of information to absorb and are here to help you and your family.
